Rosemary is native to Mediterranean region. Rosemary has excellent medicinal properties and its oils are very popular. Oil glands are found in ventral side of the plant leaves. The oil of rosemary, distilled from the flowering tops, nearly all the commercial oil is distilled from the stem and leaves of the plant before it is in flower.
